Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries FC forward, Adewole Kabiru Adeniji has said that he will not leave the Lagos-based team for any Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) team this season despite tempting offers from top league sides.
Adewole has been in terrific form this season for MFM scoring four goals in six appearances with one assist to his credit. His form has endeared top NPFL teams to him but the striker has said that he is not ready to leave the club.
The forward disclosed in an interview with Jollof Sports that several clubs have made move to lure him away but he is at the moment focused on finishing his first season in the NPFL with MFM FC.
“Yes, at least three different people have approached me claiming to be from clubs in the NPFL but following discussions with my intermediary, I would not be considering any move away from MFM FC to another NPFL club in this window,” Adeniji told Jollof Sports.
The NFF Licensed intermediary Falako Olufemi also confirmed that the player has been approached by the big spenders in the Nigerian top flight; “Yes, we have been approached and although the financial package is by far greater than what MFM would offer Kabiru, we want him to finish this season in MFM FC or move abroad.”
“The management of MFM FC knows we want more in terms of remuneration for my client and they are currently working on that and we are cool with that,” he concluded.
