MFM FC’s lanky forward Adeniji Kabir Adewole may not understand yet the gravity of the impact he is making in his debut season in the NPFL after he bagged his third goal of the season away to Remo Stars FC in Osogbo.
Adewole now has three league goals to his name in five appearances, which makes him joint leading top scorer with Heartland FC’s Okonkwo Chinonso.
The Fabulous Strikers FC product spoke to journalists shortly after the match to express his delight most especially with the team away win and then his goal.
Adewole said, “I give glory to God for his faithfulness because the match was injury free and we won away from home. I am also very delighted that my first away goal in the NPFL helped my team to its first away win of the season.”
The MFM FC Number 16 went on to praise the entire team for staying dogged and resolute for the duration of the game saying that the valuable away win would help the team achieve its ambitions for the abridged NPFL season.
Adewole concluded by praising Coach Ilechukwu tactics that helped the team secured the valuable win and also the fans who made the long trip to Osogbo to cheer the team promising to continue to do more for the team.
