Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have reportedly expressed strong interest in signing Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo in the January transfer window.
A report from ALLNigeriaSoccer suggests that the former Watford forward is set for a return to Europe in January on the heels of Changchun Yatai’s relegation from the Chinese Super League late last year.
Premier League side Southampton are however not interested in prising the striker from the Chinese side, according to the report, despite rumours suggesting the Saints have expressed interest.
Meanwhile, a handful of Premier League clubs are reportedly eyeing a move for the Nigerian in the winter window with Turkish side’s Fenerbahce and Galatasaray the only clubs to have made official bids.
Ighalo scored 27 goals in 38 appearances for club and country in 2018.
