Ralph Hasenhuttl has agreed terms on a three-year contract until 2021 to take over as Southampton manager.
According to Sky Sports, the Austrian has reached an agreement to manage the Premier League side after they parted ways with Mark Hughes on Monday.
The 51-year-old has been out of work since leaving Bundesliga side RB Leipzig after failing to agree a new contract following a sixth-place finish last season.
He led Leipzig to a second-place finish in their first Bundesliga season and subsequently a first ever Champions League campaign.
He is expected to fly to England in the next 48 hours and should be in charge when the Saints face Cardiff this weekend.
