Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has provided an update on the pursuit of the Premier League duo of Dominic Solanke and Ademola Lookman for a potential switch of allegiance to the Nigeria national team.
Rohr believes the England youth internationals are not convinced to dump their aspiration of representing the Three Lions despite the efforts made by the Nigerian Federation.
The England 2017 U-20 World Cup winners are determined to represent the Young Lions at the 2019 UEFA European U-21 Championship in June which falls around the same period with the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations will hold.
“Ademola Lookman and Solanke are not convinced. They have not made up their minds so we will allow them to decide,” Rohr told reporters in Lagos.
”We will go back to them later, but we cannot force anybody to play for us. It is very important decisions for them to make. Noah Bazee is also on our radar.”
