El-Kanemi Warriors Football Club have announced the signing of 10 new players ahead of the Nigeria Professional Football League new season.
The Borno-based club retained a total of 26 players from the 2018 season while 10 players departed from the team.
According to a local media outlet, the club’s decision to keep most players from the previous season is to maintain stability and continuity.
“The team is still intact as you can see 10 players left the team and we have also get good replacement for them.
“Since some players feel them want to go we don’t stop players and the new players we are not missing anybody the team is intact.
The names of the players and their respective former sides are:
Idris Sabo (Wikki Tourists), Aliyu Yakubu (Kwara United) and Joe Maamo (FC Ifeanyi Ubah).
Others are Agba Samuel, Osita Echendu, Itodo Akor, Chinedu Ohanachom, Ali Aliyu, Babatunde Solomon and Eugene Obi who are all from Yobe Desert Stars.
The Damaturu Boys, who were placed 13th after 24 games last season, will hope the new signings are enough to bolster their squad ahead their new campaign.
