The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria are through to the final of the ongoing CAF U-17 WAFU tourney after defeating their counterparts from Niger Republic.
The Nigerian boys piped the hosts 2-1 on Wednesday evening and will now slug it out with Ghana in the competition’s showdown as they quest to qualify for the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
Goals from Akinkunmi Amoo and Olakunle Olusegun helped earn the five-time World Champions a 2-0 lead before Niger pulled one back in injury time.
The final match will hold in Niamey on Saturday as the Nigerian side revives their traditional rivalry with Ghana.
Meanwhile, Ghana defeated Cote d’Ivoire 2-1 in the first semi-final match played earlier on Wednesday.
