Iheanacho, Iwobi, Musa start as Rohr announce starting eleven vs. Senegal

Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr, has opted to start the usual suspects in today’s international friendly match against the Terenga Lions of Senegal at the Hive Stadium in London.

The German tactician have named Daniel Akpeyi to stand between the sticks ahead of Ikechukwu Ezenwa, as Carl Ikeme fell ill yesterday evening.

Kenneth Omeruo is to play at full-back, while Elderson Echiejile man the other side of the back. Leon Balogun partner William Troost-Ekong at centre-back.

In the midfield, we have Ogenyi Onazi, Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, who’s to be the attacking midfielder playing in the hole.

Ahmed Musa, Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi and Gent’s Moses Simon are the attackers.

Nigeria Starting XI versus Senegal:

Goalkeeper: Daniel Akpeyi

Defenders: Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo, Elderson Echiejile
