By Rachael Ugiagbe

Following their exit at this year’s Women’s Federation Cup, Kogi State’s Confluence Queens Supporters Club Chairman, Honourable Moses Bako Nagogo has showered praise on the team, despite the defeat.

He blamed the defeat on the fatigue on the players, stating that the team had little or no break in executing their league matches which coincidentally collided with the Federation Cup competition.

“They (Confluence Queens) left Lokoja for Enugu to play Rivers Angels and from Enugu to Uyo for an away league match against Ibom Angels, then left Uyo for Oleh, while Bayelsa Queens had a good rest,” Honourable Nagogo said.

Speaking further, Honourable Nagogo added that he is proud of the team for their good fighting spirit against Bayelsa Queens, while praising the coaching crew.

Honourable Moses Bako Nagogo, who is a Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris Wada said they are preparing for the continuity of Captain Idris Wada in office, having transformed sports, especially football in Kogi State.

Honourable Nagogo concluded that it will definitely get better for the team in the future, while he promised that Confluence Queens will be in the final of next year’s Women’s Federation Cup.
