The national beach soccer team, Super Sand Eagles have been drawn in Group B of the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup alongside Mexico, Italy and an Asian team, that are yet to be determined.
The world cup competition is to take place in the capital of Bahamas, Nassau. It is to kick-off on April 27 April and the final game will be played on May 7.
The draw, which took place at the Hotel Atlantis in Nassau, also pitted the host against Switzerland in their opening match of the competition on April 27 in Group A alongside Ecuador and African champions Senegal.
In Group C, defending champions Portugal will bid to retain the title against Paraguay, Panama and a team from the Asian qualifying tournament.
In Group D, four-time champions Brazil were drawn alongside 2015 runners-up Tahiti, European champions Poland and a yet-to-be-determined Asian opponent.
The first two teams after all group games will qualify to play in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
AFC’s three representatives at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Bahamas 2017 will be determined at the regional qualifiers taking place between 4 and 11 March..
