Falconets Resume Camp On Saturday Ahead Of World Cup Qualifier

Nigeria’s U20 Women National Team, Falconets will resume camp on Saturday, August 23 in preparations for their 2016 FIFA U20 Women World Cup third round qualifier against Democratic Republic of Congo.

Head coach of the team, Peter Dedevbo has invited 30 players to camp, most of whom were involved in the successful second round victory over Liberia, 14-1 on aggregate in July.

All invited 30 players are expected to report at the Serob Legacy Hotel in Abuja on Saturday, August 22.

The winner between Nigeria and DR Congo in the third round qualifiers, which is the penultimate round of the qualifying campaign will take on the winner between Zambia and South Africa for one of Africa’s two slots at the world cup finals in Papua New Guinea, October 28 – November 16, 2016.

While Nigeria dimsissed Liberia, Democratic Republic of Congo eliminated Namibia 5-0 on aggregate in their second round qualifier.

Equatorial Guinea take on Ghana and Burkina Faso will host Ethiopia in the other third round qualifiers. The first leg ties comes up on September 25 and 27 with the return leg ties on October 9 and 11.
