Lokomotiv Moscow new signing Brian Idowu has expressed enthusiasm following his free transfer move to the Russian capital club.
The defender penned a three-year contract deal with Lokomotiv on Tuesday, days after his release from bankrupt Amkar Perm.
“I am very glad to switch to Lokomotiv,” Idowu told Lokomotiv official website.
“I’m really looking forward to joining the team at the training camp.
“In childhood, I watched the matches of Lokomotiv in the Champions League – against Real (Madrid), Inter (Milan). The whole country was proud of the team!”
The Railroaders will kickoff their 2018/19 season campaign with a Russian Super Cup clash against CSKA Moscow on July 27.
