Belgian Pro League side KAA Gent have shown interests in signing Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo in the summer transfer window.
According to reports from ALLNigeriaSoccer, talks are ongoing between both clubs for a possible transfer to the Ghelamco Arena in a bid to replace defenders, Samuel Gigot and Stefan Mitrović.
The 24-year-old center-back took his chance and impressed coach Gernot Rohr, breaking into the Super Eagles’ starting line-up in second round of their World Cup campaign.
He notably started Nigeria’s last two World Cup games against Iceland and Argentina.
However, the Sunshine Stars product said he is fed up of Chelsea’s loan policy demanding for a permanent ahead the 2018/19 season.
Omeruo joined Chelsea in January 2012 after a brilliant youth career at Standard Liege. He has since had loan spells at ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasimpasa and Alanyaspor
