The Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick believes the current Super Eagles team have garnered immense experience from the their World Cup participation and will be ready to wow all in the next edition.
Pinnick noted the fact that the national team comprises of very young players as he calls for the incorporation of some other promising starlets that could raise healthy competition in the team.
He named the likes of Kelechi & Chidibere Nwakali, Junior Lokosa, Henry Onyekuru and Olarenwaju Kayode as youth players that should break into the team in the future and provide a variety of options for selection, going to major tourneys.
“There are lot of positives we can take out of this experience. Statistically in the World Cup, we have the youngest team, this is a major positive. We just need to inject a few new players, the Nwakali brothers, Sadiq Umar, Usman Mohammed, Junior Lokosa, Henry Onyekuru, Olarenwaju Kayode, these are players we can inject into this young team. The beauty is… in four years time, they will come out smoking. That I can assure you,” Pinnick said as seen on Naija footballers.
The Gernot Rohr-led side crashed out of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia after losing 2-1 to Argentina in their last group game.
