Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is assured his team can excel in their last Group D game against Argentina on Tuesday at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Nigeria eased past Iceland with a 2-0 victory on Friday and that kept their hopes of qualifying for the Round of 16 after losing their first game to Croatia.
Leicester City striker Ahmed Musa was the man of the moment as he fired twice to earn the Super Eagles all three points in a crucial encounter.
Rohr also commended his players for their displaying courage and putting in their best while speaking at the post-match press conference after the win:
“What I like in my young team is humility, solidarity and fighting spirit,” he said.
“I thought before this World Cup we were here to learn. I think this team will be ready in 2022 and this World Cup is coming early, but we have a good chance to win against Argentina.”
The Eagles must avoid defeat against South American in their last group game on Tuesday to advance into the Round of 16.
