Chelsea defender Ola Aina has spoken his mind for the first time since his omission from the Super Eagles final 23-man squad list for the World Cup.
Despite dumping England who he represented at youth level to switch allegiance to Nigeria in 2017, Aina will not partake in the Eagles’ World Cup party later in June.
The defender faced the cut alongside Mikel Agu from the team’s 25-man roster on Sunday as the coach announced the duo will act as backup to the final 23 in case injury hits any member of the squad.
”May be next time.. I want to wish the boys all the very best out in Russia make our Nation proud #soarsupereagles #MrLulu 🇳🇬 🦅,” Aina posted on Twitter.

Aina, who has made four appearances for the three-time African Champions, is cap-tied to Nigeria.
