Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has named Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Carl Ikeme as the 24th unregistered Super Eagles player for the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
While speaking to reporters in Port-Harcourt, the Franco-German said that there are high chances of playing these players.
”Until the last moment, there is a possibility of bringing in these players. Carl Ikeme will be our 24th player to the World Cup”.
Ikeme, who was in goal for Nigeria in three out of their eight World Cup qualifiers, is currently undergoing rehabilitation in London after incurring acute leukaemia back in July 2017.
The English-born shot stopper has nine caps for Nigeria.
