Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel has hauled praises on the team’s manager Gernot Rohr for the massive turnaround he has brought to the three-time African champions.
Mikel applauded the coach while speaking to the press on Friday’s media parley at the Eagles’ camp in Uyo.
“Personally to me, I think one thing that has happened to this team is definitely the coach,” began Mikel.
“I think the discipline he’s brought to the team, the man-management that he’s brought into this team, the attention to details that we’ve paid to every game.
“No disrespect to other coaches that have worked with the team but I’ve never seen that before in the national team. Every game that we go into, we pay attention to every little detail.” he added.
The Tiajan TEDA midfielder further acclaimed the team referring the squad as a very young and vigour team who can reach heights at the impending FIFA World Cup.
“This team is a very young team, a very energetic team. We have a lot of young players and we are ready to play, we are ready to give everything.
“We have to make sure we play together as a team which is the most important thing. No individuality among the players, we have to make sure the team and Nigeria comes first and hopefully the sky will be our limit in Russia,” he added.
