Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has confirmed that Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will not be in action for Nigeria as they take on DR Congo in an international friendly on Monday, May 28.
Ndidi, who suffered a hamstring injury during the Foxes’ clash with Crystal Palace four weeks ago, has not joined other players in the full training since the camp began.
According to reports, the 21-year-old central midfielder will start thorough training with the rest of the team this weekend.
”We have a programme to do until tomorrow, Ndidi will not play in the PH game against Congo, but we are trying to prepare him for the London game against England,” Rohr said at Friday’s media parley.
Chelsea’s Victor Moses will also undergo special fitness training when he joins the squad in London as from May 30.
“We also have a special programme for Victor Moses, who also needed some time out.”
