Nigeria Professional Football League top scorer, Junior Lokosa is hoping to make his debut for the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of their friendly clash with DR Congo on May 28.
The 24-year-old, who was included in Nigeria’s 30-man provisional squad for the FIFA World Cup, is currently training with the Super Eagles in Uyo.
The forward will be expected to seize this opportunity and book a spot for himself in the final 23-man squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
”I can’t wait to play my first game for the Super Eagles. It’s has been my ambition right from when I started playing football and it’s very close now,” Lokosa told Complete Sports Nigeria.
“The atmosphere in camp is great and it’s been a wonderful experience for me. The old guys have help me to settle down well.
“We are all looking forward to the game against DR Congo on Monday and I hope I will get the chance to play.”
The former First Bank FC player has been in blistering form in the Nigerian top flight league this season scoring 18 goals in 20 matches for his side.
