Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is sure Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will be in top shape ahead Nigeria’s activity at the forthcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The 21-year-old, who suffered a hamstring injury while in action for the Foxes in April, will certainly be in form before the Mundial according to Rohr.
“Coach Rohr said he is not losing any sleep over Ndidi’s form for the World Cup,” Super Eagles media officer Toyin Ibitoye told Complete Sports.
“You know Ndidi pulled a hamstring and the general fear was that he may not be fit during the tournament, but Rohr is confident the midfielder won’t suffer a blip in form in Russia.”
Although Ndidi has been on the sidelines for three straight weeks due to the injury he incurred, he is in line to make Nigeria’s final squad to the World Cup.
