Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuehi expressed immense joy at his unveiling at Portuguese side Benfica.
The Nigerian international put pen to paper on a five-year contract deal with the Primeira Liga giants on Saturday.
Speaking to pressman after the ceremonial formalities, Ebuehi could not hold his excitement, describing the move to the Estádio da Luz as a ‘dream come true’.
“It is a feeling of great happiness to be able to be here in a club of this dimension. It’s a dream come true, a big step that I take in my young career,” Ebuehi enthused
“Benfica is a great club with excellent conditions. It is known all over the world. The fact that I was always on the big stage was very appealing to me. In fact, it was very easy to choose Benfica,” he added.
The right-back, who was included in Nigeria’s 30-man provisional World Cup squad, also spoke of his desire to represent the three-time African champions at the Mundial.
“I hope I can play at the World Cup. It is the dream of any player. I hope to be in Russia.”
