Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho got his 2017/18 campaign at the side to a beautiful end as he netted a stunner in the Foxes’ 5-4 loss to Tottenham in a Premier League’s last matchday thriller.
Jamie Vardy scored the opener for Leicester courtesy of a brilliant free-kick delivery from Riyad Mahrez on four minutes and Harry Kane gave an instant response with an equaliser in the 7th minute.
Mahrez smashed in a loose ball in the box in the 16th minute to give the visitors the lead again before Iheanacho increased the margin with a belter shot into the top corner in the 47th minute.
Eric Lamela reduced the deficit for Spurs with a well taken strike in the 49th minute. Leicester defender Christian Fuchs turned the ball into his own net four minutes later and the hosts were consequently level at 3-3 with Leicester.
Lamela struck again on the hour mark to earn Spurs the lead for the first time in the game.
Vardy supplied an instant response with a smart finish in the 73rd minute to make it 4-4 before Kane came up with the grand winner three minutes later.
Iheanacho thus ends his season with a record of eight goals and four assists in 29 appearances in all competitions for the King Power outfits.
