CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa bagged a brace in the Muscovite’s 6-0 thrashing of Arsenal Tula in Sunday’s Russian Premier League encounter at the VEB Arena.
Started as centre forward in a 5-4-1 formation, Musa took his chance to impress coach Viktor Goncharenko as he played a key part in the hosts’ domineering play.
Fyodor Chalov opened the scoring for CSKA with a cool strike in the second minute before Musa doubled the lead for the hosts with a sublime finish in the 11th minute.
Chalov found the net with another fine strike in the 21st minute. Aleksandr Golovin made it 4-0 for CSKA in the 40th minute.
Chalov then bagged a hat-trick with another strike in the 43rd minute before Musa completed the rout with stunning finish in the 49th minute.
The Super Eagles star has now scored five goals and bagged two assists in 10 league appearances for CSKA Moscow this season.
