Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has been named the English side’s Young Player of the Season at the End of Season Dinner Ceremony on Tuesday.
The midfield trojan, who joined the Foxes in January 2017, wins the accolade for the second consecutive season in his career at the club.
The Super Eagles star beat England youth internationals Ben Chiwell and Demarai Gray to the award.
On the flip side, the 21-year-old Nigerian missed out of the Player’s Player of the Season award as English defender Harry Maguire won the prestigious accolade ahead of Jamie Vardy and himself.
Signed from KRC Genk in the winter transfer window of the 2016/17 season, Ndidi has made 61 appearances for Leicester City in all competitions since his move to the club and has scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists.
He is currently rated Premier League’s top tackler by some distance with 138 successful tackles made.
