Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo posted a man-of-the-match performance for Changchun Yatai in their 2-5 win against Guizhou Zhicheng.
The forward scored four brilliant goals to help Yatai secure their first away win of the season.
Ighalo opened scoring account from the penalty spot to give the visitors the lead on 24 minutes before Guizhou’s Du Wei responded with a leveller nine minutes later.
In less than 120 seconds Tan Long put Yatai back in front and went on to lay a brilliant assist for Ighalo to increase the visitors’ lead on 38 minutes.
Wang Fan scored for Guizhou on the hour mark to reduce the deficit but his effort eventually counted for nothing as 28-year-old Ighalo scored his third of the game in the 86th minute to consolidate on the visitors’ lead.
Even at stoppage time, the Nigerian was not done with the contest and he showed this when he netted his fourth – two minutes after normal time – in the thrilling encounter.
Ighalo has now scored five goals in four games for Changchun Yatai this season.
