Trabzonspor midfielder Ogenyi Onazi is looking forward to a return to action for his side as he resumes full training after a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
The Super Eagles star, who incurred the seemingly serious injury two weeks ago in Trabzonspor’s Super Lig clash against Kayserispor, stated that he is excited to have resumed first team training.
“Obviously, I feel excited to be back. I already started training with the team today ahead of Saturday’s game. The coach wants me to start the game but I’m taking my time, so I told him, no rush,” Onazi told AOIFootball.
The 25-year-old, whose club side are on the verge of missing out of a continental ticket, communicated his desire to help the Black Sea Storms end the season on high.
“Playing in Europe next season will obviously be a massive one for everybody in the club, but with five games left and 11 points behind 4th placed Fernabahce, we know it’s now beyond us. But we are hopeful a miracle can happen,” the midfielder concluded.
Onazi has scored three goals and provided two assists in 20 appearances in all competitions for Trabzonspor this season.
