Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu was on target in Hapoel Be’er Sheva’s 2-2 draw against Hapoel Haifa in the Israeli Ligat Ha’al Championship playoffs on Sunday.
The midfield dynamo netted his third goal of the campaign in the game to ignite hope of a fightback as the hosts came from being two goals down to draw level.
Alon Turgeman gave Haifa the lead in the 29th minute before Eden Ben Basat doubled the visitors’ advantage in the 50th minute.
Ogu netted a brilliant strike in the 79th minute to halve the deficit before Ben Basat struck into his own net to gift Hapoel Be’er Sheva a draw in the playoffs round.
The 29-year-old Nigerian has now scored three goals in 31 appearances for the Camels in all competitions this season.
