Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel was on target for Tianjin TEDA on their 2-1 home win against Guangzhou R&F in the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Saturday.
The midfielder netted a smart finish in the comeback win to open his goal account in the league.
The Tianjin Tigers went behind in the game following Zhizhao Chen’s opener for Guangzhou in the ninth minute.
Mikel scored a brilliant equaliser in the 27th minute off a pass from Ghanian International Frank Acheampong to draw Tianjin level.
Jiakang Hui completed the comeback with a well taken strike two minutes later to earn the hosts their second win in the CSL this season.
Tianjin are now placed eighth on the log with eight points from six games.
Mikel has now had a hand in three goals (2 assists) scored by Tianjin in the 2018 season.
