Ahead of much anticipated clash between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Three Lions of England in an international friendly at the Wembley Stadium, Coach Gernot Rohr has backed the Nigerian team to daze their opponents come June 2.
Rohr stated that it will difficult for the English team to approach the tie against the Eagles with top strength, given the fact that they would have been energy-sapped after going through the rigours of a ‘long’ season.
‘’It is also a very young team, for me this team can do very well in the World Cup,’’ Rohr told ExtraTimeSoccerLive.
‘’The problem with the English team is that the season is so long, in June it is not so easy for them to be at the top level.
‘’I think they are well prepared, they have some young players who can recover very quickly.
‘’The game is at Wembley , the temple of football. This is one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world. For us it is a wonderful adventure to go there.’’
The impending warm-up tie will be the Super Eagles’ last preparatory game ahead the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
