Mike Zaruma nets screamer, Bournemouth’s Ofoborh makes debut as Flying Eagles lose to Egypt

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria suffered a 2-1 loss to their counterparts from Egypt in a friendly played at Alexandra on Wednesday. 

Bournemouth midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh, who switched international allegiance to Nigeria ahead of England, made his debut for Nigeria’s U-20 side in the clash.

Egypt, who dominated play throughout the encounter, took the lead in the 25th  before doubling their lead in the second half with a sweet counter-attack move.

CHAN 2018 star Peter Eneji however came on for Ofoborh in the second half and tried to turn the tides for the Eagles.

Nigeria’s full-back Mike Zaruma pulled a goal back for the visitors with a 40-yard screamer later in the half to half the deficit for the Eagles.
