Super Eagles new invitee Junior Ajayi has won his second  Egyptian Premier League title with Al Ahly.

With six games to spare, the Red Devils were announced champions on Monday – their 40th title in the history of the domestic league.

The Egyptian side held on to goalless draw against Entag El Harby on Monday night to extend their lead at the zenith of the league to an unassailable 22 points and clinch the title.

Ajayi, who joined Al Ahly in 2016 from Tunisian side Entag El Harby, now has two league titles to his achievements in the Egyptian Premier League.

👊💪🔥⚽🏆 Double good news for me today. I’m so happy. We are champions. Tnx to God. Up @AlAhly #YallaYaAhly #Russia2018 #AjayiJnr #HopeAndPray #WorkHardPlayHarder #RoadToNinth

The 22-year-old scored 8 goals and provided 9 assists to aid the Red Devil’s course in their race for the title.

Al Ahly, who were beaten in the final of the CAF Champions League by Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca in 2017, are poised to now shut focus on the continental competition as they look set to win a double in the season.
