Kwara United announce appointment of Abubakar Bala as new coach

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Kwara United have appointed former Niger Tornadoes coach Abubakar Bala as new head coach of the club.

Jollof Sports reported on Monday that the Harmony Warriors have parted ways with John Obuh after failing to meet expectations in a three-match ultimatum given him by the clubs management.

The Ilorin side announced the Bala’s appointment on Tuesday, revealing he serve in the capacity of the technical adviser, in replacement of coach Obuh.

The club also confirmed, via twitter, Jollof Sports’ report stating the newly-appointed coach will be unveiled at the side’s home ground on Wednesday.

Obuh, who successfully led the Kwara United to earning promotion from the NNL with three leagues games left to play last season, left the Harmony Warriors at the bottom of the league table with 11 points after 12 games played.
