Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuehi could have to pull out of the team’s squad to prosecute their warm-up games in March according to reports making rounds.
The 22-year-old was subbed out in the second half of ADO Den Haag’s league encounter with NAC Breda on Saturday following complaints of discomfort at his groin.
A report from Dutch publication Omroepwest says the Nigerian will undergo a scan on Monday, March 12 to ascertain the nature and extent of the injury he sustained.
“Tyronne Ebuehi did not make it to the end of ADO Den Haag – NAC Breda on Saturday night. The right back left the field with groin complaints halfway through the second half. At that moment ADO was behind 0-2,” the Dutch site reported on Saturday.
With Ebuehi enlisted in the Super Eagles squad for Poland and Serbia friendlies later in the month, the right-back will Monday’s scan results are positive as he looks set to grab his chance to shine for the team ahead the World Cup squad selection.
