Nigeria U-23 international forward Aminu Umar was on target in Osmanlispor’s 2-1 win against Bursaspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday.
Umar netted the opener of the game in the 17th minute before Adrien Regattin scored Osmanlispor’s second on 43 minutes to double the hosts’ lead.
Jirès Kembo Ekoko pulled one back for Bursaspor in the 48th minute to half the deficit but the Green Crocodiles’ chase for an equaliser was futile as Osmanlispor pushed for their first win in 8 league games.
Super Eagles defender Shehu Abdullahi logged the entire duration of the game for Bursaspor and got a yellow card in the 42nd minute for his troubles.
Umar, 23, has now scored 5 goals and laid in 3 assists in 25 appearances for the struggling Turkish side.
The Nigerian and his side could face relegation at the end of the season as they are placed 17th in the 18-team Super Lig table having garnered 21 points from 24 games.
