PyeongChang 2018: Nigeria’s Bobsled team fail to improve ranking in official heat 3

Nigeria’s Bobsled team of Seun Adigun and Akuoma Omeoga are on the verge of crashing out in the Bobsled event at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang following their failure to improve their ranking after three official heats.

Placed at the rock bottom of the 20-team log, the team are on the brink of facing the exit at the Winter Games except they put in an awesome feat in heat 4 – final heat – of the event on Wednesday evening.

The Nigerians displayed a rather lacklustre performance in heat 3 of the event sled at the Olympic Sliding Centre on Wednesday at about 13:40 hrs (Nigerian time).

The athletes raced down the track in a time of 52:31 seconds, 1:85 seconds behind their first-placed USA counterparts. The timing, 0:24 seconds better than theit timing in heat 2, was not enough for the history-making Nigerians to move up the table.

The team are poised to race in Heat 4 on Wednesday by 3 pm (Nigerian time).
