Nigeria Professional Football League side Niger Tornadoes have confirmed the sack of their Head coach Erasmus Onuh on Tuesday.
This decision taken on Tuesday makes it two managers the Tornadoes’ management have layed off in less than 8 weeks.
Onuh, who was appointed the Technical Adviser of the Minna-based club on Saturday, January 6, will now head home after managing just nine games at the Bako Kontagora Stadium outfits.
Hamza Abara has been appointed to take over as an interim coach pending the time they get a perfect Technical Adviser.
A statement on the club’s media read:
“After due consultation during the rigorous meeting by the management of the club, the management has rectified the disengagement of the technical adviser Erasmus Onu over poor performance”.
“Our chief coach Hamza Abara has been notified to take charge of the team immediately pending the time we search for a coach suitable for the position of the technical adviser”.
“We wish Coach Erasmus Onu all the best in his future endeavors”.
The Ikon Allah Boys are at the bottom of the NPFL log with 9 points from nine games. They will host Abia Warriors in their matchday 10 fixture on Sunday, February 25.
