The League Management Company (LMC) have fined Nasarawa United FC for failing to ensure adequate security and crowd control during their game against Plateau United on matchday one of the 2018 Nigeria Professional Football League.

In this light, a fine of N2 million have been imposed on Nasarawa United for failure to circumscribe unauthorized persons from technical areas which violates the NPFL Framework and Rules.
The match which ended 1-0 in favour of the 2017 champions Plateau, saw the fans attack the match officials during and after the game.
This fee issued against the Solid Miners will be used to compensate each of the match officials – Referee, Assistant Referee 1, Assistant Referee 2, and the 4th official (reserve referee).
Nasarawa will take host Rangers International FC in their matchday 5 fixture on Sunday, January 28.
