Kwara United head coach John Obuh is optimistic of a bounce back to good form for the Harmony Warriors in the 2018 Nigeria Professional Football League.
United have witnessed a poor start to their campaign in the 2018 NPFL, losing three games on the bounce and conceding five goals in the process but Obuh envisions a resurgence of the team to the form of which they finished top of the 2017 NNL -Northern Conference table.
“Kwara United will bounce back; we will make amends in the areas we made mistakes in our last three games. We will be looking for a turning point, so that we can return to our winning streak,” Obuh told AOIFootball.com.
“That’s what we are looking to achieve against Wikki Tourists at home this mid-week.”
Placed at the bottom of the 20-team NPFL log, the Ilorin-based side have failed to find the back of the net since the start of the season. This is quite unbelievable considering the pedigree of their striker – Michael Ohanu – who netted 21 goals to help United’s course in the lower division last season.
The Harmony Warriors’ next league game is against the Big Elephants of Wikki Tourists billed for the Kwara State Township Stadium on Wednesday, January 24.
