Super Eagle coach Gernot Rohr refuted reports in the French media speculating the Franco-German is considering a return to Ligue 1 side Girondis Bordeaux.
There have been speculations recently that the 64-year-old has been contacted by Les Girondins, where he has enjoyed successful spells as a player and as a coach, to return to manage the team.
“I have not been contacted to resume as coach of Girondins de Bordeaux,” Rohr stated in an interview with French publication tf1.fr
“It’s a club that’s in my heart, and when I come back to France, I’m in this region.
“But I’m under contract with Nigeria, we’re going to do the World Cup, it’s an adventure that interests me first and foremost.”
Rohr recently penned a two-year contract extension with the NFF which should keep him as the Super Eagles coach until 2020.
