Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho scored the game opener in Leicester City’s third round FA Cup replay clash against Fleetwood Town on Tuesday.
Iheanacho netted in the 43rd minute of the game to give the Foxes the lead at the King Power. The strike was the 21-year-old’s second goal for the 2015/16 Premier League Champions since his £25m signing from Manchester City last summer.
Paired with Islam Slimani in a 4-4-2 formation, the Nigerian international linked up play delightfully with the Algerian in the game.
Iheanacho controlled Slimani’s cross from the left, took a brilliant first touch and dribbled past defenders in their wake before slotting the ball between Fleetwood’s goalkeeper legs to score his first goal in 2018.
