FIBA Africa Champions Cup: Kano Pillars record first win

‪Kano Pillars Basketball team have recorded their first win of the tourney at the ongoing FIBA Africa Champions Cup as they defeated ASB New Generation 83-66.

‪Top performers of the game for the Nigerian side are Abubakar Usman (18 points), Dike Azuoma (17 points) and Abdul Yahaya (17 points).

However, the Pillars had earlier lost two consecutive group games – the first at the opener of the competition, their loss to Association Sportive on a 29 points margin and the second to Inter Clube on a 21 points margin.

Nigeria’s other representative Gombe Bull are yet to win as they lost their third group game to GS Petroliers‬ 103-75.
