Afeez Aremu joins Ghanian side Inter Allies FC

Home-based Eagles midfielder Afeez Aremu has penned a deal with Ghana Premier League club Inter Allies FC.

Aremu, who was on loan at Akwa United in the 2016/17 NPFL season, joins the Inter Allies from Westerlo Football Academy.

The midfield dynamo had a successful trial at the Ghanian side earlier this week and this prompted Inter Allies to make him their third signing of the transfer window.

President of Inter Allies Rabeh El-ter spoke to club’s official website, Inter Allies FC:

“This is a very positive addition to our team because he will offer a lot to us.

”He is a young player with huge capacity to learn and develop, with lots of quality.”

Aremu was excited with to have joined a ‘good team’. He expressed his enthusiasm stating:

“I would like to thank all parties involved in making this deal a successful one, it is a great move for me to come here to develop my career.

“I am very excited to be signing for a good club such as Inter Allies. I am looking forward to working with the new coach and the players.

“I hope to do my best and exhibit my quality to help the team.”

Aremu was a key player for the Nigerian national team side that won silver at the 2017 WAFU Cup held in Ghana where he featured in all the matches.

He had earlier been selected for the 2018 CHAN tournament but he is now ineligible to represent Nigeria following his move to the Ghanian side.
