Super Eagles Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye has provided updates on the fitness of the team’s captain, John Obi Mikel and Deportivo goalkeeper Francis Uzoho after the duo joined training on Wednesday evening.
Ibitoye’s remarks about the skipper and the newbie goalie are quite satisfactory as he stated they have settled into the team perfectly.
The official also spoke on the Eagles flight to Constantine, Algeria, stating the Eagles will have at least one training at the pitch in Algeria before the game on Friday night.
“The players are ready to head out to the airport this morning and we’re all in high spirits,” Ibitoye told BRILA.
“Mikel trained well and has put the injury that kept him out for 6 weeks behind him. Uzoho has also been on top of his game and he is pumped up.
“The travel will be about an hour’s flight and arriving early enough so we can have at least one training session before matchday.”
