Super Falcons new coach, Randy Waldrum is reported to have made a move to cap-tie Ajax Amsterdam striker, Toni Payne ahead of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Payne, who has featured in all youth grades of the United States of America national teams, is willing to switch allegiance to Nigeria, her country of heritage.
According to reports, Randy Waldrum has begun talks with the 22-year-old over the change of nationality and he is already making progress.
”Randy Waldrum has been in touch with Toni, she is in his plans for the new Falcons team he is building,” a source close to the striker revealed to SCORENigeria.
The Ajax striker has made four appearances for the Dutch club in the Eredivisie Women league this season.
