Nigerian striker Paul Ebere Onuachu netted his 13th goal of the season and assisted another goal as FC Midtjylland thrashed Aarhus GF 3-0 in a Danish Superliga game on Monday.
The 23-year-old, who is a product of Ebedei, takes his season goal tally to 13 in 14 appearances for the Wolves in all competitions.
Onuachu scored the opener of the encounter after 25 minutes, heading in Jakob Poulsen’s cross.
The lanky striker almost got himself a brace in the 43rd minute, hitting the crossbar after Alexander Soerloth directs the ball squarely in the box.
The second goal came through Poulsen from the penalty spot in the 69th minute before Marc Dal Hende netted the third, which was assisted by Onuachu, in the last minute of the game during a scramble in the box.
Nigerian midfielder Rilwan Hassan was also in the starting lineup for Midtjylland, but was substituted off for Gustav Wikheim in the 77th minute.
Onuachu has now scored six league goals in seven appearances for Midtjylland, who now occupy the second spot on the log.
